Strategic Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

Google is looking for a Strategic Cyber Security Consultant to help clients anticipate, mitigate, detect, and respond to cyber threats. The role combines deep technical expertise with client‑facing consulting to protect complex enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in navigating high‑profile security incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage.
• Test client networks, applications, and devices using the latest adversary techniques.
• Act as the technical advocate for information‑security requirements and translate complex concepts for business and executive audiences.
• Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary engagements, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Manage a team of consultants, building trusted advisor relationships with a portfolio of clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and delivering cybersecurity solutions across multiple domains.
• At least 8 years of customer‑facing security consulting experience.
• Demonstrated people‑management or mentoring experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % of the time and obtain a national security clearance.
• Strong understanding of the global cyber‑threat landscape, including state and criminal actors.
