Technical Security Referent Engineer (Authentication & Payments)

About the role

Join Betclic’s Cybersecurity Referents team as a Technical Security Referent Engineer. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Fraud and Compliance teams to embed security into authentication and payment journeys, balancing user experience, business performance and robust protection.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments for authentication and payment projects in an agile environment.
• Identify threats, vulnerabilities and fraud scenarios affecting login, account management and payment flows.
• Support design of secure mechanisms such as MFA, password‑less authentication, SSO, wallet and checkout security.
• Participate in product roadmap and architecture discussions to define security requirements early.
• Provide threat modeling, secure design reviews and remediation recommendations.
• Implement security controls for session security, fraud prevention, encryption and secrets management.
• Ensure secure integration with Payment Service Providers (PSP) and related services.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of authentication protocols and payment security concepts.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, innovative technology environments.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate security requirements clearly.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on security‑by‑design.
