Staff Product Designer - Interaction & Systems

About the role

amo is looking for a Staff Product Designer focused on interaction design, motion and systems-level thinking. You will join the early members of its Product Design team and help build the foundations of the next generation of social apps. The team is small and versatile, with very little routine, and you will architect core UX flows, develop signature interactions and maintain a flexible design system.

Key responsibilities

• Craft signature interaction patterns and motion, making sticky flows clearer and products more alive
• Embed yourself in the design team and evolve best practices for turning feature concepts into scalable UX and beautiful interfaces
• Prototype early to test ambitious product ideas, acting as a bridge between design and engineering across iOS, Android and web
• Drive and maintain a flexible design system to support rapid iteration and prototyping

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience designing consumer applications, products or software, even better if on consumer social products
• Meticulous attention to detail, transitions and haptics
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating in English
• Curious, self-directed and comfortable with the ambiguity of early product work
• Nice to have: passion for social apps, complementary skills such as 3D and interest in generative AI, and strong opinions on art, culture and fashion
