Staff Application Security Engineer

About the role

Dashlane, a Paris-founded company delivering credential security to millions of users and over 25,000 brands, is looking for a Staff Application Security Engineer based in Paris, working in English. The role safeguards Dashlane's systems and keeps its secure development lifecycle cutting edge, collaborating across departments to promote and implement best-in-class security practices. The position is hybrid: in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexible work on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of Dashlane's security program across the product and the company
• Run architecture design reviews, threat modeling and technical security assessments of the product (application and infrastructure)
• Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Build on and scale Vulnerability Management so the team can track, analyse and remediate vulnerabilities
• Assess internal systems, environments, assets and data, and implement security controls accordingly
• Evaluate and implement security tooling, or build custom tooling in-house
• Take part in compliance and incident response
• Propose new security features that protect Dashlane and its users

Required profile

• Strong understanding of application security best practices, including threat modeling and risk assessments
• Demonstrated experience building or improving an SDLC program
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, and to mentor colleagues
• Quick learner and adaptable, comfortable supporting the business beyond technical areas

Required skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their security implications
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Bonus: cryptography, IAM frameworks (Passkeys, SAML, OAuth, SCIM)
