About the role

The Sports Leagues Manager is a core operations position within the Parks and Recreation Department, dedicated to building community through organized recreational sports. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Recreation, the role oversees the planning, coordination, and supervision of youth and adult league programs, tournaments, and special events.

Key responsibilities

Plan and schedule youth and adult sports league seasons, tournaments, and special events.
Supervise program staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Manage game‑day site operations, including facility setup, equipment, and safety checks.
Coordinate facility usage and scheduling to meet league and community needs.
Deliver high‑quality customer service to players, coaches, officials, and spectators.

Required profile

Experience planning and coordinating youth and adult sports league programs.
Ability to supervise staff and volunteers in a public‑service environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to providing positive community experiences.
