Software Engineer - Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer – Platform to join a high‑impact team building the core infrastructure of a next‑generation database platform. The role is based in France and focuses on designing, developing, and scaling backend systems that serve massive global traffic while ensuring reliability, performance, and an excellent developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core platform components that support a high‑scale database infrastructure.
• Contribute to distributed systems powering database services used by high‑traffic applications.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve challenges in scalability, performance optimization, and system reliability.
• Work autonomously to analyze and resolve technical and business problems.
• Engage directly with customers to translate requirements into platform improvements.
• Debug, maintain, and enhance large‑scale codebases while upholding quality standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and containerised cloud‑native environments.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and operating distributed systems in production.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills across complex, multi‑component systems.
