Software Engineer - Object Squad

About the role

Scality is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Object Squad, focusing on building and maintaining high‑performance storage services and Kubernetes operators. The role is open to French residents and offers a hybrid/remote work model.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Object Squad projects across the full software lifecycle, from design to production.
• Develop native Node.js libraries for storage services and Go‑based Kubernetes operators.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve technical challenges and unblock progress.
• Design, develop, test, maintain and continuously improve software while ensuring an excellent user experience.
• Build robust, secure, fault‑tolerant distributed systems with high performance.
• Work closely with architects, product owners and leads to deliver Scality’s roadmap.

Required profile

• French residency.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience writing clear, robust, high‑performance code.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, Go and Typescript.
• Background in storage and distributed systems.
• Strong abilities in observability, debugging and performance tuning.
• Commitment to software quality.
