Software Engineer, Clinical AI Devices

About the role

The Clinical AI Devices team is looking for a Software Engineer to build and maintain software that wraps deep‑learning models into containerised medical devices. You will work across radiology modalities such as X‑Ray, CT, MRI and Mammography, ensuring seamless integration with product logic and serving platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain new and existing features in Java/Spring Boot, following CI/CD and test‑driven practices.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, from refinement through production, while flagging risks and supporting service teams with production issues.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, cybersecurity, and risk‑analysis requirements throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a regulated MedTech environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance velocity and quality under regulatory constraints.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot
• CI/CD pipelines and Docker
• Cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and Kubernetes
• JUnit and test‑driven development
• Microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Agentic coding tools such as Claude and Cursor (preferred)
• Knowledge of DICOM data, AI algorithms, and clinical workflows (preferred)
