About the role
The Human Genetics and Cognitive Functions Unit at the Institut Pasteur seeks a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the genetics of brain diversity in autism using large‑scale neuroimaging and cognitive datasets.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze structural, functional and diffusion MRI data from up to 1,000 individuals with autism or related neurodevelopmental disorders and from population controls (e.g., UK Biobank).
- Integrate genetic variant information with brain connectivity measures to identify links between autism‑associated genetics and brain development.
Required profile
- PhD in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in neuroimaging, psychiatry and genetics, with ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with neuroimaging software such as FSL, Freesurfer and fMRIprep.
- Programming experience in Python, R and Bash.
- Good knowledge of machine‑learning methods applied to imaging and genetic data.
- Excellent written and oral English.
