Software Development Engineer

About the role

Clearwater Analytics is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join its agile, collaborative team. You will design, implement, test, and deploy high‑quality software that powers the daily work of customers worldwide. The role offers the chance to work across the full technology stack in a modern SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain clean, well‑structured, and well‑tested code.
• Break down complex problems, conduct research, and collaborate with peers to find solutions.
• Participate in design and feature discussions, advocating for performance, scalability, reliability, and security improvements.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure successful integration of software components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents quickly and effectively.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.
• Respond to customer needs with empathy and timely communication.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time independently and deliver results on schedule.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
