Senior Product Manager - Application Performance Monitoring

About the role

Datadog is hiring a Senior Product Manager for its Application Performance Monitoring (APM) team in Paris. APM is expanding with AI-driven insights, guidance and automation, and you will own product strategy and execution across Distributed Tracing, Performance Analysis and Intelligent Troubleshooting. You will work closely with senior engineering and design leadership, mentor other product managers and represent APM in cross-org and executive conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and long-term vision for a core APM area, based on deep knowledge of customers, their performance challenges and the competitive landscape
• Lead conversations with design partners and key customers to validate product bets and guide solutions from early prototypes through general availability
• Drive delivery of next-generation APM features such as agentic onboarding, AI-driven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• Make complex performance data, traces and system behavior understandable and actionable for engineers new to observability
• Set direction across engineering, design and partner product manager teams and align on trade-offs
• Partner with marketing, sales, customer success and support to define and lead Go-To-Market strategy
• Mentor other product managers and own adoption, retention and business impact metrics

Required profile

• +5 years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally on a developer-focused SaaS or infrastructure product
• Experience leading production-level AI projects from conception through launch and iteration
• Prior engineering experience or deep expertise in modern software development and distributed systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to and influence senior and executive stakeholders
• Experience mentoring or guiding other product managers

Required skills

• Bonus: experience with cloud applications, distributed tracing, performance analysis, microservices or profiling technologies
