Senior Presales Systems Engineer SASE

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a Senior Presales Systems Engineer (SASE) in Puteaux, France. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office. It combines technical pre-sales work with solution design and architecture workshops across HPE's cybersecurity portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, solution design and architecture workshops across HPE's cybersecurity portfolio.
• Deliver demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for SASE (SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS) and SSE use cases.
• Guide customers through observability and threat detection integrations (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, OpenTelemetry).
• Engage CISOs, security architects and compliance stakeholders in technical and strategic conversations.
• Respond to RFPs, RFIs and security assessments with high-quality technical documentation.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to give customer-driven roadmap feedback.
• Present to both technical and executive-level audiences and support teammates to secure deal outcomes.
• Accommodate customer schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales or solution engineering experience in cybersecurity, networking or cloud.
• Hands-on experience with SASE/SSE architecture and Zero Trust models.
• Strong presenter able to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated and committed to exceeding customer expectations.

Required skills

• Firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE, IPS/IDS, and identity standards (SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, RBAC)
• TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, OSPF, BGP and CLI on major routing/switching platforms
• AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware and Hyper-V; hypervisor and OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Microsoft Office, LucidChart, Visio, Windows, macOS and Linux
• Cloud-NAC solutions and preferred certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or GIAC
