Senior People Generalist

About the role

This senior‑level position supports a remote‑first, globally distributed organization in France. The People Generalist will act as a trusted partner for managers and employees, driving operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to performance cycles, engagement initiatives, and people analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, team dynamics, and performance conversations.
• Support the Head of People on complex cases and independently manage standard employee‑relations matters.
• Own end‑to‑end People Operations, including onboarding, off‑boarding, HR systems, compliance, and benefits administration.
• Improve workflows by introducing automation, AI tools, and scalable processes.
• Manage internal communications related to policies, programs, and organizational changes.
• Lead performance‑cycle operations, from setup to completion.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable People insights.
• Drive employee‑engagement initiatives, including surveys, analysis, and recommendations.
• Support recruiting operations when needed, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in HR Generalist, HRBP, or hybrid People Operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and basic employment‑law principles.
• Proven ability to manage HR systems and People Operations workflows end‑to‑end.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across regions and employment models.
