Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer

About the role

ATR is seeking a senior professional to lead its Export Control and Sanctions function within the Ethics & Compliance team. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will ensure that all business activities comply with EU, French, US and UK export regulations and international sanctions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess regulatory risks and provide practical, risk‑based recommendations to business units.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day execution of export classification, licensing, authorizations and technology‑control measures.
• Maintain and continuously improve compliance processes, tools and governance frameworks.
• Act as the primary point of contact with governmental authorities on export‑control matters.
• Deliver training and advisory support to internal stakeholders on export and sanctions requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in International Trade, Law, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in export control, sanctions or international trade compliance, preferably in aerospace or defence.
• Deep knowledge of EU, French, US and UK export‑control regulations and international sanctions regimes.
• Proven ability to conduct end‑use, end‑user and diversion risk assessments.
• Fluent in English and French; Italian is a plus.
