Procurement Contracts Manager – Space Systems

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Procurement Contracts Manager to support the Space Systems business line. You will provide strategic contract expertise, work closely with sales, finance, legal and export control, and help deliver next‑generation space systems for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Procurement Contract Manager focal point for Space Systems programs.
• Support Call for Tenders by assessing contractual baselines, preparing negotiations and overseeing contract awards.
• Lead contract drafting, negotiation and approval in collaboration with the Procurement function.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including amendments, claims and settlement agreements.
• Mitigate contractual risks and provide expert analysis during disputes or pre‑litigation matters.

Required profile

• Legal background or strong contractual knowledge with at least 8 years of contract negotiation experience.
• Open‑minded, self‑motivated team player with a “can‑do” attitude.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to explain complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Willingness to obtain or already hold a national security clearance.
