Senior Consolidation & Financial Control Lead

About the role

As a Senior Consolidation & Financial Control Lead you will be at the core of Royal Canin’s global finance function, overseeing consolidation and control for more than 100 units worldwide. You will ensure accurate reporting, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual closing and consolidation processes for the Royal Canin Group (102 units).
• Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports across all markets.
• Provide insightful analysis, conduct balance‑sheet reviews and reinforce financial integrity.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Royal Canin units and Mars Inc. for financial guidelines and US GAAP updates.
• Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to align reporting with business priorities.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with business and finance partners.
• Ensure compliance with the Mars Financial Manual and external regulations.
• Govern internal control processes together with the G&C team.
• Lead audit preparation and implement improvements based on audit recommendations.
• Continuously improve controlling processes, support ERP upgrades, new‑market launches and digital finance initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, strong background in financial controllership and reporting.
• Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
• Experience in audit or change management is a plus.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Ability to simplify complex financial data and drive performance in a global, transforming environment.
• Hands‑on attitude, comfortable challenging senior leaders and performing journal entries when needed.
