Senior Buyer – In‑Flight Connectivity

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement of in‑flight connectivity solutions for its aircraft programmes. Based in Toulouse, the role will define and execute sourcing strategies for satellite, air‑to‑ground and Wi‑Fi systems, ensuring cost‑effective delivery and alignment with Airbus technology road‑maps.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement procurement strategies for in‑flight connectivity systems, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead the full procurement cycle: market analysis, tendering, contract negotiation (pricing, IP rights, SLAs) and supplier management.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, legal and programme teams to integrate sourcing into project timelines.
• Monitor market trends, technological advances and regulatory changes to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and resolution of supplier disputes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in aerospace or telecommunications.
• In‑depth knowledge of in‑flight connectivity technologies (satellite, air‑to‑ground, Wi‑Fi, hardware/software).
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Fluency in English; French or German is a plus.
