Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js

About the role

Fabulous, a health, wellness and coaching company behind a top-ranked app, is looking for a nimble, startup-style software engineer to support its growth. You will work closely with an experienced CTO to build new features such as marketing optimization engines and billing reporting. The position is listed under Paris but the company is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Build innovative new features together with the CTO, including marketing optimization engines and billing reporting
• Design and implement software with strong coding skills
• Develop, release and maintain a modern API layer
• Architect services using well-accepted patterns so teams can develop autonomously and scale in the future
• Work with an event-driven microservice architecture within the Google Cloud ecosystem for the web and mobile products

Required profile

• Strong coding skills with Node.js, ESLint, unit testing and end-to-end tests
• Experience with developing, releasing and maintaining a modern API layer
• Experience architecting services with accepted patterns for autonomous development and future scaling
• Experience with an event-driven microservice architecture in the Google Cloud ecosystem
• Experience with object-oriented languages (Kotlin preferred)
