Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial operations across our European entities. Based in Paris, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams, driving continuous improvement and supporting the accounting team in day‑to‑day activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate and reconcile transactions; manage month‑end and year‑end close in partnership with controlling.
• Handle general ledger entries, account reconciliations, journal postings, and oversee accounts payable/receivable.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, accruals, provisions and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor billing schedules, reconcile billing data and support SAP Business One billing automation.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and internal policies; support external/internal audits and prepare tax/VAT filings.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, document best practices and support SAP Business One integration.
• Liaise with Financial Controlling to align accounting entries with financial reporting and mentor junior accountants.

Required profile

• Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and guide junior staff.
