Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Paris team and ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial operations across our European entities. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners, support the accounting team, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate and reconcile transactions, resolving any discrepancies.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end close in close collaboration with the controlling team.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations and journal postings.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, accruals, provisions and intercompany transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile bank, credit‑card and investment accounts.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor billing schedules and reconcile billing data with accounting records.
• Support implementation and improvement of automated billing processes in SAP Business One.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and internal policies; prepare tax filings and VAT declarations.
• Assist external and internal auditors by providing complete financial information.
• Recommend and implement best practices, improve accounting processes and support SAP Business One integration.

Required profile

• Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and French tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work autonomously while collaborating with finance, controlling and operational teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
