Senior Account Representative, SMB

About the role

PayPal is looking for a Senior Account Representative to join its Small and Medium Business (SMB) Sales team in Paris, France. You will own the end-to-end commercial relationships for a portfolio of around 80 higher-value SMB merchants, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, expand product adoption and protect and grow transaction margin.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full commercial relationship with your merchants, working with colleagues across PayPal to deliver strong results.
• Develop tailored account plans and commercial strategies for key merchants.
• Use AI-powered tools to identify growth, cross-sell and risk signals across the portfolio.
• Keep pipeline, forecast and portfolio health reporting accurate.
• Support less experienced Account Representatives by sharing what works.
• Bring together the right internal teams to resolve merchant needs and handle ambiguous issues where no playbook exists.
• Influence process quality and efficiency through defined processes and procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A track record of owning high-value or strategic customer relationships and their commercial outcomes.
• Quantifiable examples of retaining and growing a complex book of business through cross-sell, upsell or wallet-share growth.
• Comfortable using AI and commercial data to prioritise opportunities and act early on risks of churn or decline.
• A problem-solver who can work beyond standard playbooks and weigh alternatives.
• A strong internal collaborator who can mobilise partners, maintain clear account plans and forecasts and close out actions.
