Security Manager – Offensive Security

About the role

Apple’s Security Engineering & Architecture team is looking for an experienced manager to lead the Offensive Security group. The team protects billions of Apple devices by finding vulnerabilities before they reach customers, focusing on low‑level technologies such as the iOS and macOS kernels, boot ROMs, firmware and hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a security team that conducts platform‑level security assessments across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
• Drive vulnerability research, develop proof‑of‑concept exploits and create innovative security tools.
• Review designs and specifications of security features for iOS, macOS, wireless technologies and other Apple products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors to influence security decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and researchers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing security or security‑research teams.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational and communication skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of embedded security concepts.
