SCADA Technician – Field Operations (Montpellier)

About the role

Vestas is looking for a SCADA Technician to join its Field Operations Regional Support team in Montpellier. You will provide Level‑1 support for SCADA and IT systems across wind farms, ensuring reliable monitoring, control, and data acquisition for renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level‑1 support for SCADA and IT platforms in wind‑farm environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and networking equipment.
• Provide remote assistance to on‑site service technicians.
• Maintain and update internal ticketing tools.
• Produce and keep technical documentation current.

Required profile

• Technical education in IT, electronics or a related field.
• Experience with server operating systems, Linux, SQL servers and VMware.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts and configuration.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and communication protocols (IEC 104, IEC 101, MODBUS, DNP, OPC).
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and French.
• Valid driver’s licence.
