Rotor Analysis Engineer (m/f)

About the role

A vacancy for a Rotor Analysis Engineer (m/f) has opened at Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. You will join the Analysis team of the Rotors and Suspension Engineering department, supporting the whole Airbus Helicopters fleet. You will work directly on critical rotor parts in a high-tech environment over the product life cycle, performing technical studies until completion, including ground and flight test follow-up when needed. The position is open only on a local contract and requires a security clearance or eligibility for it.

Key responsibilities

• Sizing and substantiating helicopter rotor and suspension parts in static and fatigue, using analytical methods, simulation, FEM and tests, to ensure correct safety margins and service life across development and in-service phases.
• Preparing, supporting and analysing ground and/or flight tests required to substantiate parts and assess loads, in collaboration with the lab test and flight crew department.
• Supporting in-service helicopters through analysis for customer modification projects, parts delivered from production and incidents.
• Preparing detailed data and documents for internal and external customers and authorities to meet safety, performance, manufacturing, structural integrity, maintainability and cost objectives.

Required profile

• Degree-level education (up to 5 years) in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical part analysis.
• Advanced French and English.
• Good mechanical sense, enjoyment of technical challenges and ability to work in a dynamic team.
• Security clearance or eligibility for it.

Required skills

• Finite element modelling (e.g. HyperMesh, Samcef).
• Static and fatigue analysis of mechanical parts.
