Robotics Supervision Software Engineer

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Robotics Supervision Software Engineer to join its OMRTP team (Perception & Control / Industrial Means) in Toulouse, within Manufacturing Engineering. The engineer will architect and develop Airbus' proprietary C++ / Qt supervisory software environment that pilots robotic cells.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and specify the proprietary supervisory software framework for robotic cells.
• Develop high-performance, ergonomic shop-floor user interfaces with modern C++ (17/20) and Qt (QWidget, QML).
• Build robust communication pipelines for industrial controllers (Fanuc, Siemens) and robotics middleware (ROS 2).
• Ensure UI responsiveness and real-time synchronization through multithreaded software design.
• Test and validate software using digital twins, virtual commissioning and physical robotic cells.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Industrial Information Systems, Robotics or Embedded Systems.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience on industrial machines or robotic cells.
• Strong multithreaded programming skills and knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/UDP, OPC-UA).
• Working knowledge of industrial CNC/PLC controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Beckhoff) or robotics middleware (ROS / ROS 2).
• Teamwork mindset, engineering rigor and professional English; French is a plus.
