Research Engineer – Battery Life Cycle Assessment (14‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join IMT Mines Alès, a prestigious grande école, as a Research Engineer within the CREER centre and HSM research unit. The role is part of the AMI CMA 3MRBAT project, which evaluates the environmental impacts of lithium‑ion battery life‑cycle scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical data from industrial projects and scientific literature, focusing on water resource impacts.
• Develop curriculum and an interactive training module for the PRINEC Specialized Master’s programme on battery life‑cycle.
• Prepare teaching materials, deliver courses, and support curriculum development.
• Disseminate research results through scientific publications, conference papers, and presentations to project partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in environmental studies or equivalent.
• Expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) applied to industrial systems and/or water footprint assessment.
• Knowledge of natural resource management, especially water or mineral resources.
• Strong command of scientific English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate research findings in international journals and conferences.
