Quant Mentor

About the role

Wall Street Oasis is expanding its Quantitative Finance track and seeks experienced professionals to mentor students aspiring to careers in quant research, systematic trading, and quantitative investing. This remote, flexible position allows mentors to share expertise while earning compensation based on activity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1‑on‑1 coaching to students preparing for quantitative research and trading roles at hedge funds, prop firms, and systematic funds.
• Share insights on quant interview processes, brainteasers, case studies, and coding assessments.
• Help high‑potential students translate strong mathematical skills into real‑world quant careers.
• Optionally review trading strategies, backtesting approaches, and research methodologies.

Required profile

• Professional experience in quantitative research, systematic trading, or quantitative hedge funds.
• Academic background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or quantitative finance.
• Strong technical foundation in probability, statistics, and programming.
• Clear communicator able to simplify complex quantitative concepts.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of providing thoughtful feedback.
• Experience at hedge funds, prop trading firms, systematic asset managers, or quant teams within banks is preferred.
