Quality Control Deputy Manager

About the role

GTP Biologics – Olon France, a CDMO specialized in biotherapeutics, is seeking a Quality Control Deputy Manager to support its growing laboratory operations. You will work closely with the QC Manager to ensure analytical and microbiological testing meets the highest GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual QC laboratory workload plan, translating strategic goals into weekly schedules.
• Review, approve and ensure compliance of QC documentation such as analytical reports, validation protocols, SOPs and methods.
• Lead deviation handling, root‑cause investigations and CAPA implementation.
• Oversee training, qualification and competency assessments for the QC team.
• Support method validation activities and ensure availability of qualified personnel and equipment.
• Participate in internal, client and regulatory audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, digitalisation).

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QC experience in pharma/biotech, preferably within a CDMO.
• Strong knowledge of GMP (ICH, Pharmacopoeia, FDA/EMA) and data integrity principles.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
