Product Owner – IMEO Science Projects

About the role

The International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) seeks a Product Owner to lead the development of methane data products that support global climate goals. Working remotely, you will translate scientific outputs into high‑value digital solutions for a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product requirements based on the IMEO product vision.
• Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with scientific and digital teams.
• Coordinate between scientists, analysts, and digital developers to deliver reliable, actionable methane data products.
• Establish coordination mechanisms with external stakeholders such as national authorities, civil society, and industry partners.
• Report progress and delivery milestones to the Programme Management Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, STEM or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in product ownership, project management, or similar coordination roles within an Agile environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and manage complex data‑driven projects.
