Procurement Sustainability Officer – Substance Transparency & Obsolescence Management

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Procurement Sustainability Officer to join its Procurement Sustainability department in Toulouse. The role focuses on substance transparency, obsolescence management and de‑risking of the supply chain, supporting Airbus’s Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap up to 2030 and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expertise, guidance and training to procurement teams and suppliers on substance regulations and sustainability requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day risk‑management activities, identify emerging regulatory changes and anticipate obsolescence issues.
• Develop and cascade clear directives, guidelines and custom‑built training programmes across divisions, affiliates and external bodies.
• Collaborate with the IAEG, Airbus Supplier Sustainability Council and other industry groups to align on best practices.
• Support the Resource and Material Stream Leader in driving the Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of aerospace supply‑chain dynamics and sustainability challenges.
• Experience working in a matrix environment with cross‑functional and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
