Primary Flight Control System Designer

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Primary Flight Control System Designer to join its Flight Control & Guidance Systems department in Toulouse. You will work on the Integrated Flight Control System (IFCS) project, contributing to the design and validation of the next‑generation Primary Flight Control computers for the Airbus aircraft family.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the specification of primary flight computers using formal tools such as SCADE.
• Integrate flight‑control laws into PFCS computers and define interfaces with other avionics systems.
• Develop tools and methods for PFCS specification and establish applicable rules.
• Write test requirements (simulation, laboratory, flight) and monitor progress.
• Conduct safety analyses linked to the Primary Flight Control System.
• Produce technical evidence required for certification and author related documentation.

Required profile

• First experience in flight‑control system design or related system design.
• Knowledge of system‑engineering methods applied to avionics.
• Understanding of aircraft flight‑control systems and equipment.
• Strong computing and communication background.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts.

Required skills

• SCADE (formal specification tool)
