PLM Project Manager (Export Control)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a PLM Project Manager to lead export‑control compliance within its Digital Product portfolio. Based in Toulouse, you will ensure seamless, secure data flows across the product lifecycle while adhering to global trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement, and monitor export control classification and compliance rules within PLM systems and cross‑PSL architecture.
• Co‑lead the GECS project and WP15 to accelerate export control compliance in engineering applications.
• Partner with IT and Enterprise Architects to ensure data access controls, hosting solutions and cross‑border digital workflows comply with international trade laws.
• Conduct compliance impact assessments on cross‑PSL epics and act as liaison between DPIX, DP PSLs, Legal, Engineering and Operations.
• Oversee export control classification of digital assets and train product owners and engineers on clean‑data handling practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, International Business, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Export Control, Trade Compliance or Data Governance, preferably in aerospace or high‑tech manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of ITAR, EAR and European dual‑use regulations.
• Proven track record of managing complex, transversal projects and cross‑portfolio deployments.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and tools.
• Export control classification (ECCN, USML, etc.) and compliance processes.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) for secure digital supply chains.
• Data governance and digital engineering pipelines.
