Linux Systems / Infrastructure Engineer (EMEA)

About the role

Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) business is a global technology enablement company delivering distribution, business consulting and channel enablement services to technology manufacturers and their partners. It is looking for a Linux Systems / Infrastructure Engineer based in Courbevoie, France, to administer and maintain enterprise Linux environments and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, patch, troubleshoot and performance-tune Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments at enterprise scale.
• Design, implement and maintain Linux-based infrastructure solutions, from development through stabilization and documentation.
• Deploy and operate Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms, including cluster and workload management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash and Python.
• Administer VMware vSphere and Red Hat virtualization environments.
• Manage Linux identity services and integration with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and data protection solutions, including Zerto and Rubrik.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and capacity, and resolve issues proactively.
• Take part in incident resolution, including critical infrastructure incidents when required.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams in a large multinational IT environment.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux, ideally RHEL, in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning and infrastructure lifecycle management experience.
• Practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Ansible and scripting in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Red Hat virtualization.
• Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Active Directory integration; familiarity with Zerto and Rubrik.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a large multinational IT environment.
