Legal Counsel, eCommerce, France & Benelux

About the role

The TikTok eCommerce Legal Team is looking for a Legal Counsel to support its fast‑growing marketplace across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. You will act as the primary legal point of contact for product compliance, consumer protection, advertising and intellectual property matters within the EU, helping to ensure the platform operates safely and in line with European regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on EU product compliance, consumer protection, advertising and creator‑marketing rules for TikTok Shop.
• Support EU intellectual property rights issues and broader marketplace governance.
• Collaborate with policy, operations, product and enforcement teams to embed consistent compliance practices.
• Manage multiple projects, balancing strategic and tactical priorities in a high‑growth environment.
• Serve as the main liaison for marketplace governance and user‑experience teams in France and Benelux.

Required profile

• Solid experience in‑house or at a reputable law firm, preferably in IP, media, technology or e‑commerce.
• Deep knowledge of EU laws applicable to digital marketplaces, including the Digital Services Act, General Product Safety Regulation and market‑surveillance rules.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
