Lean Improvement Project Management Specialist

About the role

Join JD.com as a Lean Improvement Project Management Specialist, leading regional projects that enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and boost delivery capabilities. You will work cross‑functionally across warehouses, transportation, and support teams to deliver measurable improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of regional lean improvement projects, from initiation and target setting to solution design, planning, execution, risk control, and project close‑out.
• Drive initiatives focused on cost reduction, lead‑time optimization, quality enhancement, exception reduction, and delivery‑station capability upgrades.
• Coordinate resources across warehouses, transportation, IT, finance, procurement, customer service, and external providers to resolve issues promptly.
• Establish and maintain project management mechanisms for progress tracking, risk and benefit monitoring, issue logging, and regular reporting to senior management.
• Promote knowledge retention by creating reusable templates, methods, and continuous‑improvement frameworks.

Required profile

• More than three years of experience in project management, operational or logistics improvement, or supply‑chain projects.
• Preferred background in warehouse, transportation, delivery, or third‑party logistics environments.
• Familiarity with project‑management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination, execution capability, and risk‑management awareness.
• Ability to independently drive projects and produce clear reviews and management reports.
