Knoll Area Sales Manager Retail

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Retail France, the Knoll Area Sales Manager Retail acts as a Brand Ambassador and manages a network of around 30 distributors. The role covers business development across showroom presentation, product selection, architect outreach, social media communication, events and sales growth. The position is based in Paris, with frequent weekly travel within the territory (50 to 60% of time).

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with distributors through regular visits and ongoing support.
• Drive sales performance and achieve revenue and brand development targets.
• Work with retailers' internal teams to select and optimise product displays in showrooms.
• Ensure compliance with Knoll's visual identity and premium brand standards.
• Implement the retail strategy in the territory and support new openings or showroom transformation projects.
• Train sales teams and promote the brand to architects and design professionals.
• Monitor business performance and implement action plans with management.
• Promote a premium customer experience and a consultative sales approach across the distributor network.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing a premium distribution network or selling contemporary furniture in a showroom environment.
• Background in design, interior architecture or a related field is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in French and professional-level English; an additional language is a plus.
• Self-motivated, autonomous and results-oriented, proactive in spotting business growth opportunities.
• Comfortable working in an international brand environment with experienced teams.
