Junior Stress Engineer – Early Career (M/F)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated junior engineer to join the Airframe and Mechanical Equipment Stress team at Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. The role focuses on structural analysis and stress evaluation for new VTOL and helicopter projects, offering a fast‑track path to become a specialist in analytical and numerical stress methods.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural evaluation and stress analysis throughout concept, preliminary and detailed design phases.
• Size and substantiate components using hand‑calculation methods and Finite Element Method (linear and non‑linear) for metal and composite structures.
• Prepare and supervise test programmes, including test orders, execution and result analysis.
• Draft justification reports for static strength and fatigue, and determine service life, inspection and maintenance intervals.
• Address manufacturing deviations, define rework/repair actions and respond to customer service requests.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering or a related field.
• First experience (e.g., thesis or traineeship) in structural analysis or fatigue within the aviation sector.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced proficiency in both French and English.
