Junior Stress Engineer – Early Career

About the role

Join the Airframe and Mechanical Equipment Stress team at Airbus Helicopters in Marignane as a Junior Stress Engineer. You will support the structural analysis of new VTOL and helicopter airframes, contributing to design optimisation from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural evaluation and stress analysis during all development phases.
• Size and substantiate designs using hand calculations and Finite Element Method (linear and non‑linear).
• Prepare and supervise test programmes, including test orders and execution.
• Produce justification reports for static strength, fatigue, and service‑life assessments.
• Define inspection, maintenance intervals and manage manufacturing deviations, rework, and repair solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in aerospace engineering or an equivalent field.
• First experience (thesis or traineeship) in structural analysis or fatigue within aviation or a related industry.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English.
