Hospice Travel Registered Nurse

About the role

Moments Hospice is seeking a full‑time Travel Registered Nurse to provide hospice care across the United States. The role involves 8‑plus weeks of travel at a time, supporting new locations and agencies that need permanent staff or training. The RN will manage patient comfort and health while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on new admissions and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and palliative treatments according to each patient’s plan.
• Communicate significant changes in patient condition to physicians, case managers, and hospice staff.
• Coordinate care continuity by liaising with staff, updating plans of care, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Provide education, competency validation, and orientation for new nurses and staff.
• Assist in assigning Hospice Assistants and participate in care conferences.
• Support marketing efforts by demonstrating clinical stability at new sites.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for extended periods (8+ weeks).
• Strong critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
