Head of Communications, France

About the role

Uber is seeking a senior communications professional to lead its communications team in France. Based in Paris, the Head of Communications will report to the EMEA Head of Communications and act as the primary voice for Uber and Uber Eats in the French market.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and strengthen Uber’s brand with media, third‑party partners and key stakeholders in France.
• Design and execute high‑profile corporate and consumer campaigns for Uber and Uber Eats.
• Manage corporate issues, crisis situations and day‑to‑day media relations, including working with beat reporters.
• Serve as a spokesperson for the organisation and a trusted partner to local executives.
• Lead a team of three in‑house communications specialists, allocating resources for maximum impact.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of the French media, policy and cultural landscape with an extensive network of contacts.
• Strong strategic capability to develop proactive communications strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Proven experience in issues management and translating complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Ability to go beyond media relations to reach target audiences and shape corporate interests.
• Intellectual curiosity, experimental mindset and natural campaigning approach.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple projects and inbound enquiries.
• Excellent judgment, writing and overall communication skills.
