FWS (Flight Warning System) Experienced System Designer (f/m)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an experienced System Designer to join the System Cockpit & Avionics Platform Engineering Design team in Toulouse. You will work on the Flight Warning System (FWS) for the A350, collaborating with aircraft systems teams, cockpit operation, human‑factors experts, pilots and flight‑test engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional requirements convergence at the upstream level.
• Produce technical specifications and System Interface Documents in coordination with interfaced functions.
• Drive the development process following Airbus methodology.
• Deliver textual technical specifications, formal specifications and verification & validation artefacts.
• Support verification & validation activities and lead convergence with stakeholders on findings.
• Assist safety analysis and contribute to in‑service support (customer, FAL/MAP).
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience in Flight Warning System development.
• Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a focus on avionics or cockpit systems.
• Strong interest in cockpit or avionics system development.
• Good knowledge of embedded software design.
• Analytical, synthesis and strong organisational skills.
• Collaborative team‑player attitude.
