Functional Architect – Detailed Design (m/f)

About the role

The Functional Architect will join Airbus Helicopters' Information Management directorate, supporting the Product‑Service‑Line Physical Products within the End‑to‑End Develop domain. The role bridges IT, methods & tools, and core business functions to shape the PLM ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Project Functional Roadmap, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business requirements.
• Design the target functional architecture for the PLM landscape, addressing current needs and future scalability.
• Author the Solution Architecture Dossier and guarantee compliance with Airbus Group standards, policies, and regulations.
• Tailor designs for user‑centric performance, monitor SLA commitments (e.g., 8‑day User Management SLA).
• Safeguard functional robustness of the existing PLM backbone during major transformations or upgrades.
• Document, develop, and operate end‑to‑end PLM solutions for design and engineering activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading functional architecture initiatives within a PLM environment.
• Strong ability to mediate between technical implementation teams and business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of Airbus standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent documentation skills, especially for formal architecture dossiers.
