Footwear Designer – Paris

About the role

Canada Goose is seeking a creative Footwear Designer to join its new Paris studio. Working closely with the Design Director of Shoes and Accessories and the Creative Director, you will help shape a premium footwear collection that aligns with the brand’s heritage and future vision.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the seasonal design calendar in line with the company’s overall schedule.
• Research, design, and develop a set number of styles from concept through prototype approval, reporting to the Creative Director.
• Lead special projects with support from the Design Director and design team.
• Collaborate with merchandising partners to ensure designs meet business objectives.
• Communicate design updates to PDE partners throughout the prototype process.
• Support fittings for assigned styles.
• Work with the Materials department to select fabrics and trims for collections.
• Mentor the Associate Designer on technical footwear creation.
• Produce development mock‑ups to support seasonal concepts.
• Travel to vendors and attend trade shows for product research and development.
• Contribute to the seasonal colour palette and own part of colour direction.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in footwear design.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across design, merchandising, and material teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign.
• Experience with 3D design tools.
