Financial Control Manager – Finance Leadership

About the role

Zadient, an innovator in advanced silicon carbide materials for semiconductor applications, is strengthening its finance organisation. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Control Manager will lead the finance team across France and Germany, building robust reporting, cost‑accounting, budgeting and compliance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cost‑accounting and general accounting processes for a fast‑growing industrial business.
• Lead and develop the accounting and industrial cost‑accounting teams in France and Germany.
• Drive ERP implementation, reporting enhancements and finance‑system improvements.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and group policies.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and accounting governance.
• Develop product costing, standard costing and inventory valuation methodologies.
• Analyse variances, labour efficiency, material consumption and overhead absorption, providing actionable recommendations.
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Procurement and Engineering to improve cost visibility and support investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial control within a technology, industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably with international exposure.
• Strong track record of building scalable finance processes and leading finance teams.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and act as a key partner to the CFO.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on profitability, productivity and cash performance.

• Knowledge of French and German accounting standards and statutory reporting.
