Finance Project Manager – Project Finance Specialist

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Finance Project Manager to join its Finance Team in Valenciennes. You will work within a multidisciplinary project environment, supporting the financial health of large‑scale mobility projects such as high‑speed trains, electric buses and driverless systems.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Project Manager to drive overall project management processes.
• Supervise, analyse and support all finance topics of the project, ensuring accurate forecasts, revenue, cash flow and cost reporting.
• Monitor financial performance, propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile, and raise early warnings when needed.
• Control internal purchase orders and coordinate with finance expert functions (tax, treasury, internal audit, accounting).
• Establish strategic links with external financial partners and contribute to negotiation processes.
• Support risk and opportunity assessments, sign‑off contingencies and committed savings.
• Collaborate with Contract & Claim Management focusing on finance risks.

Required profile

• Experience in project finance within large industrial or transportation projects.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce accurate financial forecasts.
• Good understanding of tax, customs, treasury, internal audit and risk management.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
