Field Engineer – Network Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Field Engineer to join a fast‑growing company that designs, builds and manages digital infrastructure for buildings. Based at home in the Paris region, you will travel frequently to install, maintain and troubleshoot network and telecom equipment across multiple customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission switches, routers, Wi‑Fi and fibre optic equipment on‑site.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in network infrastructure, working alongside the NOC and technical teams.
• Conduct site surveys and support project delivery at customer locations.
• Perform regular maintenance activities across several sites, ensuring quality standards.
• Guide subcontractors while remaining technically hands‑on.
• Complete all required documentation, reporting and provisioning.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong background in IT, networking or telecom environments.
• Hands‑on experience with structured cabling, Ethernet and fibre installations and testing.
• Proven ability to work on customer sites and deliver projects.
• Experience diagnosing faults in live environments alongside NOC teams.
• Comfortable interacting with customers, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.
• Full EU driving licence (B) and willingness to travel internationally when required.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of €40,000 – €47,000 per year.
