Experienced Static Stress Engineer – Metal & Composite

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an experienced Static Stress Engineer to join the Customer Service Repair Department in Toulouse. You will work within the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) team, creating and validating stress justifications for metal and composite aircraft structures and supporting airlines with repair solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate static stress justifications for repair solutions on aircraft structures such as nose, centre fuselage, pylons and engine mounts.
• Produce and maintain Structure Repair Manual (SRM) documentation.
• Identify and integrate customer recurrent engineering cases into generic SRM solutions.
• Coordinate daily technical interfaces across Airbus divisions and manage subcontractor contributions.
• Drive continuous improvement of methods and support the team’s digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in static stress analysis for metal and composite components.
• Proficiency with stress analysis or FEM tools and Airbus-specific tools (ISAMI, ISAMI Xpress).
• Ability to write and understand Python scripts for data manipulation and automation.
• Basic knowledge of machine‑learning concepts for predictive modelling.
• Advanced English and intermediate French language skills.
