Director Procurement Logistics

About the role

JD.com is seeking a seasoned Director of Procurement Logistics to shape and execute its European logistics procurement strategy. You will lead the sourcing and management of warehousing, trucking and last‑mile courier services, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions that support the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and continuously improve long‑term strategic procurement plans for European warehousing, trucking and last‑mile courier services.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard high‑quality suppliers, integrating full‑truckload (FTL), less‑than‑truckload (LTL), warehousing and last‑mile resources into a stable, cost‑competitive ecosystem.
• Lead complex negotiations on long‑term agreements, pricing, service level agreements and payment terms to optimize cost and service quality.
• Establish and refine a systematic supplier management framework, including performance evaluation, hierarchical management and incentive mechanisms.
• Monitor European logistics market trends, regulatory changes and industry risks, adjusting strategies and proposing risk mitigation solutions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, finance and other teams to coordinate procurement resources and ensure seamless end‑to‑end logistics.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in European integrated logistics procurement covering warehousing, trucking and last‑mile courier services.
• Deep knowledge of the European contract logistics market and strong network of local resources.
• Proven track record of leading supplier negotiations and managing large‑scale logistics procurement programs.
