Director, Ethics & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Ethics & Compliance to lead our European compliance program. Based in France, you will shape strategy, advise senior leaders, and embed a culture of integrity across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional Ethics & Compliance strategy aligned with global standards and local regulations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on compliance risks, governance, regulatory changes, and internal investigations.
• Promote an ethics‑focused culture through training, communication, and leadership engagement.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and mitigation activities.
• Manage internal investigations, ensuring proper escalation, documentation, and resolution.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and business units to integrate compliance into operational decisions.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence senior‑level decision‑making across Europe and globally.
• Maintain consistent corporate governance practices while adapting to evolving regulatory environments.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading Ethics & Compliance programs in a multinational or complex organization.
• Deep knowledge of European regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and compliance risk management.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and navigate complex organizational structures.
• Experience managing internal investigations, compliance monitoring programs, and risk‑assessment frameworks.
• Strong leadership with a collaborative, credible advisory approach.
• Ability to balance regulatory obligations with commercial priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of presenting complex topics to executive audiences.
