About the role
The City of Angers is seeking a Director of Heritage (H/F) to lead its cultural heritage strategy. This senior position is open to Category A civil servants, particularly those from the cultural heritage field such as heritage curators or conservation officers.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement a vision that positions heritage as a driver of city attractiveness.
- Oversee the preservation, management, and promotion of the city’s historic assets.
- Coordinate with cultural institutions, local authorities, and stakeholders to align heritage initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with national and municipal regulations concerning heritage conservation.
Required profile
- Category A civil servant status, preferably from the cultural heritage sector.
- Experience as a heritage curator, conservation officer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of heritage legislation and public administration.
